Our journey that got us to where we are today is quite recent.
We had our first interaction with miniature Donkeys in early 2022 and from that moment we both fell in love with these amazing creatures.
Instantly we knew we needed these animals in our life.
What started as a heartfelt connection has grown into our passion and purpose.
Our very first Donkey was purchased in April 2022, Ebony, she has shown us a kind of unconditional love that captured our hearts in a big big way.
From there, our passion for donkeys snowballed. Today, we have 11 jennets as part of our family, with several expecting foals throughout the year.
We are dedicated to giving our Miniature Donkeys the best life they can have, the right feed, the best care and the quality time they crave with their humans.
At Ashwood Meadows, the wellbeing of our donkeys is at the heart of everything we do, because emotional security is just as important as physical care.
Each of our jacks has a carefully chosen companion animal to keep them content and relaxed when they are not running with our jennies.

Our boys form incredibly strong bonds with their mates:
ㅤTitan is inseparable from Sterling, our gelded Shetland Pony.
They may play rough, but they fret the moment they’re apart.
ㅤPhoenix is best friends with Jasper, our gelded Welsh Pony. These two are just as devoted and prefer to stay sidebyside.
ㅤShadow, our youngest jack and future sire, is still a foal. We recently welcomed Casper, a gentle gelded Standard Donkey, to be his lifelong companion. Early signs show these two are already forming a wonderful bond.
Providing stable friendships ensures our jacks stay happy, confident, and emotionally fulfilled — an essential part of responsible miniature donkey breeding.
Meeting and supporting future Miniature Donkey owners on their own very special journey to becoming passionate advocates and custodians of these amazing animals.
